CHILDREN'S COUNSELLING

Exhausted, Concerned, Fed-up with challenging behaviours or emotional outbursts from your child? Does your child show anxiety, attachment, refusal, or shut down? Is your family going through significant changes or unexpected events that are stressful and impacting your children? These are only a few of the many root issues that disrupt children’s development and psychological wellness.

If you are considering the help or the feedback of a child psychologist, it can be challenging to find someone great or the BEST for your child. We understand and hold the same standards for our team of therapists, knowing they need to be the BEST to work with children’s issues and adhere to this expectation.

Children and their development are complex and vulnerable. We work hard to protect highly specialized therapists required to maintain multiple child therapeutic training yearly to stay on top of the BEST practice and most effective treatment approaches. Kari Buenfeld is a Registered Psychologist and Play Therapy Specialist with the Canadian Play Therapy Association. This certification takes over five years of additional training and supervision, in addition to the general psychologist expectations. Her skills are advanced with other experience working with complex early developmental interventions and providing therapy for complex childhood disorders. Dr. Kent Tsang also is a psychologist experienced working with various children ages 8+ and is bilingual, speaking Chinese, Mandarin, and English fluently.

If you have a concern related to a child, please get in touch with us to express your concerns. We are happy to listen and share the various options for your child’s specific challenges before booking the initial parent intake session.
